Curriculum Focus:
Our Montessori curriculum supports your child’s complete development. Through hands-on activities and purposeful materials, students strengthen language, math, problem-solving, and practical life skills. These early learning programs encourage independence, concentration, and curiosity while supporting both cognitive and emotional development.
Daily Routine:
Children thrive when their day follows a predictable and calm rhythm. Our daily routine supports the health and well-being of young children by providing uninterrupted work cycles, outdoor exploration, and collaborative learning. Within this environment, students participate in reading, math, creative expression, and practical life activities that support their development and growing independence.
Classroom Experience:
Our Montessori classroom offers a peaceful, structured environment where children can move freely among learning materials and activities. Mixed-age classes allow younger preschoolers to observe older students, while older children strengthen leadership and communication skills. Within this supportive environment, young children gain the confidence to explore their interests and build friendships.
The early childhood stage is one of the most influential periods of human development. During this time, children rapidly expand language, curiosity, and independence while building the foundations for future academic success. Research consistently shows the importance of high-quality education programs during the early learning years, as these experiences support cognitive, emotional, and social development. At Heritage Montessori, our primary school program builds upon the natural curiosity that young children bring into the classroom. Through authentic Montessori practice, students engage with carefully designed materials that support early education and meaningful exploration.
Between the ages of three and six, young children experience remarkable growth in language, concentration, and independence. Our Montessori curriculum supports this development process through purposeful learning areas designed to help students explore and build knowledge.
-
Practical Life – Practical life activities help children strengthen coordination and independence through everyday tasks. These activities support child development while building responsibility, concentration, and confidence.
-
Sensorial – Sensorial materials help preschoolers refine their senses and organize their understanding of the world. Through hands-on exploration, students develop observation skills, pattern recognition, and a deeper awareness of their environment.
-
Language – Language development expands rapidly during early childhood. Children work with sandpaper letters, phonetic sounds, and storytelling activities to develop reading and writing skills while strengthening communication skills.
-
Mathematics – Montessori math materials introduce numerical concepts through hands-on learning. By exploring quantity, patterns, and relationships, students develop a strong mathematical understanding that supports later grade-level learning.
-
Cultural Exploration – Children explore geography, science, nature, music, and art as they discover the wider community and world around them. These experiences encourage curiosity and broaden their understanding of different cultures and environments.
