Of course, each day is different; however, this gives you an idea of how your child might spend his day at Heritage Montessori School.


7:00 - 9:00    EARLY MORNING CARE: Children listen to stories, play games, or Lego build while parents arrive according to their work schedule.

9:00 - 9:15    CLASS BEGINS: Children recite the pledge of allegiance, greet each other, and start the day with a lesson or individual task. 

9:15 - 10:00  INDIVIDUAL & SMALL GROUP LESSONS: Some children will start self-directed learning activities while other children are invited to small group lessons.

10:00 - 10:30 MORNING SNACK/PLAYTIME: Children eat a snack and then are directed in games and gross motor skill activities.

10:45 - 11:00 MORNING GROUP LESSON:  The teacher demonstrates a thematic activity or concept.

11:00 - 11:30 LUNCH: Children eat lunch at the patio area. Children will eat inside during inclement weather.

11:30 - 12:00 RECESS: Outdoor free play and organized games are available for the children. They will play indoors when the weather is poor.

12:00 - 2:00 NAP TIME: Children come in, wash hands, use the bathroom, get drinks, and those children who nap will rest. After a 30 minute rest period children who do not fall asleep will resume activities like unfinished morning tasks, art, or seasonal projects. When the "nappers" awake they will join the other children in their activities.

2:30 - 3:00 AFTERNOON SNACK: Children eat snack and they are dismissed to day care groups.

Afternoon Day Care Schedule:

300- 4:00: Free play.

4:00 - 4:30: Group games.

4:30 - 5:00: Art activities.

5:00 - 6:00: Children can choose to watch a G-rated video or play with toys.
